The following is the first of a series of blogs. They are my somewhat bizarre ponderings that I have concerning numerous house-related topics.
Bathrooms are not Functional #1. There have been many upgrades to houses in the past 100 years, but the bathroom is one of the last to be updated. Today’s houses have numerous full bathrooms, and they each seem to have the same basic items: a sink (maybe two), toilet, shower, and a bathtub. I question why we still have bathtubs, especially why we have so many in one house. I swear their main use to to bathe pets. It seems that space could be better utilized - maybe for a steam cabinet, sauna, or even a whirlpool. I swear that the tub in my master bathroom has never actually been used. Until someone notices, it is usually the place the dust bunnies like to hang out. While some tubs have the shower in them, it’s the showers that are actually used and not the tub. I would like to know how many people reading this actually use any or all the tubs as tubs in their house (excluding washing pets)? Would you find it more useful to have a steam cabinet, sauna, or whirlpool more often?
